“You may be the coolest people in the world. This year your industry was saved by a 48-year-old Scottish cat lady in sensible shoes,” said host Stephen Colbert, referring to Susan Boyle.

“I love ‘Breathe’ with Taylor (Swift) but I’ve been performing ‘Lucky’ with Jason (MRaz) all over the world in the past year so I’m glad that’s what won.” – Colbie Caillat.

“I want to collaborate with Common, who I met yesterday and I freaked out when I met. … he said he wanted to work with me, too, so I’m very excited about that.” – Colbie Caillat on future collaborations.

“If you put this in a machine, you can hear past Grammy winners.” – Jason Mraz commenting on the eco-friendly tuxedo he wore, made from recycled polyester and a tie made from old cassette tapes.

“This is a Christmas album, so obviously I should thank Jesus Christ.” – Stephen Colbert accepting his award for Best Comedy Album for his work, “A Colbert Christmas: The Greatest Gift of All!”

“I came to the United States in 1978 with a bag full of dreams, running away from the war in my country, Nicaragua, and here I am. So dreams do come true. I want to dedicate this Grammy to all the people in my country still struggling to make a better life.” – Luis Enrique, winner of the Best Tropical Latin Album.

“This is my first Grammy you guys! I mean, This is a Grammy. I live in awe of the people I was nominated against in this category.” – Taylor Swift, after winning a Grammy for Best Solo Female Country Vocal for the song “White Horse.”

“I’m not going to lie, we’re all a little drunk. But we’re happy drunks.” – Caleb Followill of Kings of Leon, accepting award for record of the year.

“And now I’m going to go have shots with Kings of Leon.” – Green Day frontman Billy Armstrong after accepting the band’s award for best rock album.

“To be recognized on this level is amazing and to get to perform here today is one of the greatest pleasures of my life.” – Best new artist winner Zac Brown, of the Zac Brown band.

“Wow, thank you so much. This has been such an amazing night for me.” – Beyonce Knowles after receiving her award for best female pop vocals, her sixth award Sunday.

“This is actually the first time I’ve ever used auto-tune live. It was funny because Jamie Foxx was using it at rehearsal and I was like, wow, I sound terrible next to him.” – T-Pain on using auto-tune live.

“Oh wow! Thank you so much. I just hope that you know how much this means to me … that we get to take this back to Nashville. Oh my God, our families are freaking out in their living rooms. My dad and my little brother are losing their minds in the living room right now. This is for my dad, thank you for all those times that you said I could do whatever I wanted to do with my life.” – Taylor Swift accepting Album of the Year.

“Nashville is my favorite place in the world and to see it recognized in such a beautiful way tonight at the Grammys just makes me so, so, happy.” – Taylor Swift after being told she and Kings of Leon are the first Nashville-based artists to garner marquee awards at the Grammys.

“For me, genres have really become something that I don’t think people focus on as much anymore. Country music is my love. Country music is absolutely going to be my home because of the stories that are told within country music.” – Taylor Swift on whether she considers herself a country artist after having her music played on pop radio stations.

The Grammys Belonged to Beyonce!

January 31, 2010 · Leave a Comment

SHE WON 6 GRAMMYS!!!!

-Kings of Leon won song of the year….Wow I actually thought Poker Face would win.

-Taylor Swift won Album of the year which I felt she did deserve but I honestly thought Gaga would win again.

-Black Eyed Peas took home a grammy and so did Carrie Underwood

-Lagy Gaga won 2 grammys (atleast) and dominated fashion-wise.

I really felt the grammys didn’t award properly this year.

What do You think?

Food Review: Chain Restaurant: TGI Fridays

January 17, 2010 · Leave a Comment

You know I haven’t seen a food review in a while so I  thought I would review this…:)

-officialashleytisdale.

3/5 stars

Okay but….there is definately better :)

So It is as clean as a typical Ruby’s Dinner Place but there is better the Salads were okay but I have problems with super green or Brown leaves. They were nice and had good service but the little girls I was with ordered pizza and didn’t like it. Although they said the chicken fingers ‘were like heaven’ and they were. I enjoyed my main course of a chicken salad. And the kids let me try some dessert….A Cup of Dirt. Now that part was five stars but honestly you can’t go wrong with pudding and Oreo Crumbs. I gave it 3 stars because I have have had way better. Go to your Fridays and if you agree with my review than try a Macaroni Grill or Outback instead..

Enjoy,

Kristen + Ash

EARTHQUAKE!!!!!!!!!!

January 14, 2010 · Leave a Comment

Okay…Most of you guys know about the 7.0 Earthquake in Haiti…an Island of the Caribbean but I am posting this for those of you that haven’t heard yet I feel its is extremely sad since the buildings aren’t necessarily well made and most of them collapsed and people were injured.

If you want to see a quick video of the quake click HERE. That really all I have to except for the fact how Obama wants to help the people there and I am sure you will be seeing donation links online to help repair the area.
